Pawtice for Public Safety is a dedicated module for law enforcement mounted patrol units. When your department selects Mounted Patrol as its organization type, the platform reconfigures itself with duty-specific features.
Mounted Patrol Features
- Daily fitness logs — Before each shift, unit members log a brief health check for each horse going on duty. Captures weight, temperament rating, soundness rating, and Fit for Duty or Stand Down determination.
- Officer-horse pairing — Track which officer is paired with each horse, the start date of the partnership, and compatibility notes. Full assignment history preserved permanently.
- Service records — Complete incident logging, duty hours tracking, and veterinary cost records for each horse in the unit.
- Department reports — Auto-generated monthly duty reports, annual impact summaries, and budget justification reports. Export as PDFs for command staff or city finance departments.
- Retirement and adoption workflow — When a service horse reaches retirement eligibility, Pawtice opens a retirement workflow with applicant screening, placement agreements, and permanent record archiving.
Security and Compliance
Pawtice is hosted on enterprise infrastructure with TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, role-based access control, and Clerk authentication. User access is scoped by role: commanders can access all records, while officers see only their assigned horses and duty logs.
